18 Abr FIRST MEETING OF THE AMERICAN CHAPTERS OF THE CLUB OF ROME
Aiming to “thinking globally to act regionally and locally”, the presidents of the Argentinean Chapter, Alfredo Davérède; Mexican Chapter, Gerardo Gil Valdivia; and Brazilian Chapter, Heitor Gurgulino de Souza, together with members and representatives of other Latin American countries, discussed economic, socio-political, environmental, educational and cultural issues, with the goal of moving from “warning” to “action”, acting directly and creating blocks that “contribute” instead of “divide”.
The meeting central theme: To analyze interdisciplinary problems in the region as it has become evident the marginalization of the Latin American voice in high global circles.
