26 Sep Water Journey
Last Monday, September 22, the Argentinean Chapter of the Club of Rome carried out the water journey. The meeting, which took place in the Mansion of the Four Seasons, featured the participation of well-known experts who addressed the topic from different perspectives.
After the words of welcome from Dr. Alfredo Davérède, President of the Argentinean Chapter, Dr. Roberto Peccei, Vice-President of the International Club of Rome, continued talking about the Club of Rome’s position about “Disarticulate the use of resources”.
The participating experts were:

Mario Hernández – “Groundwater”.
Ana Carolina Herrero – “Water footprint”.
Julio García Velasco – “New technologies applied to water”.
Víctor Pochat – “Integrated management of water resources”.
Marta Litter – “The arsenic in the water”.
Heitor Gurgulino de Souza explained the work of José Galizia Tundisi – “Water in Brazil, water quality, water governance, the way forward”.
Juan Carlos Bertoni – “Urban water in Latin America: challenges for a sustainable management”.
Jorge Maza – “Urban Floods in Argentina: man-made disasters caused by natural events”.
Antolín Magallanes – “Matanza Riachuelo Basin case”
Carolina Rísolo – “Uses of water for Matanza Riachuelo Basin”.
The journey, which was declared interest for the City of Buenos Aires by the Legislature of Buenos Aires, was closed with a final debate moderated by Sergio Elguezábal.
